Today I talk about a recent trip to the ER I took with my wife.  I tell this story with her permission.  Two doctors look at the same scan with different results.  Also, the Supreme Court talks about the vax mandate.  The Chicago Teacher’s Union is similar to what truck drivers could do if they wanted to.  I discuss the new Bugatti Scooter.  Really.  Also, from today’s headlines we have yet another reason we are not on Mars.

In a thrilling episode Todd Spencer talks to the media about trucking.  He says drivers want to get paid for their time but do they?  I wonder.  Meera Joshi is leaving the FMCSA before she even got appointed.  Nice.  The vax mandate stands as of this taping but we will see what the Supreme Court says.  I am not an attorney.  It is 2 days to Festivus!  An RV buyer gets taken for a ride.  Also, more winter tire talk from an email I got.  A reason we are not on Mars.

In a literary classic I talk about Freedom and what that means to everyone.  Mandating things is not freedom.  Eyes on 94 is in 4 states but not the ones you think.  Actual vs Practical miles are discussed.  Parking on the shoulder is for emergencies only and others should be ticketed immediately.  Car companies want to charge you monthly for heated seats and stuff like that.  What?  I remember one of my favorite cars, a 1971 Chrysler 300.  We also have a reason we are not on Mars.

In a vision loss episode I discuss some articles this week from Time and the Wall Street Journal talking about how there is not a truck driver shortage and the policies of the ATA are just making trucking terrible. In a Fifa-Cup winning episode I discuss the power of collective action and how we as a society have become fat, lazy and complacent in recent decades.  The NYC firefighters are on my mind.  TA truckstops in AZ and NM are rationing fuel so call before you go.  Do brokers make too much money?  I don’t think so.  Should you work for a company because it is women owned?  Does that matter?  It shouldn’t.  More on the infrastructure bill and some things it will do to new cars.  The F150 now has a supercharger you can have installed at the dealer and get 710hp and a factory warranty!  No price listed.  A 1976 Suburban is listed for sale with a 350 and a 3 on the tree!  Amazing combo on it.  Also, a reason we are not yet living on Mars.

In a meme inspiring episode I discuss paid parking and who should pay for it.  Should a driver ever have to pay to park a company truck?  It is time change weekend, set those clocks back.  The Vax mandate is upon us and I tell you what to expect.  A driver in NJ gets in trouble for having a gun in his waistband.  Could face 10 years in prison.  The Bronco Sport is outselling the Jeep Cherokee.  Should it with just 3 cylinders?  A 2000 Metro went up for sale with only 400 miles on it.  Amazing.  Tesla is allowing others to use their supercharger network but this is causing problems.  Also, we wrap up with a reason we are not on Mars.

In an Arbor Day Miracle I talk about the ATA management conference and the fact they were able to afford Bon Jovi.  Remember that when you are waiting 2 days before you get layover.  Is pay the real issue in trucking?  I take a look at that.  The vax mandate may be postponed until after the holidays.  Why should it be if it is so important?  Shouldn’t we do it right away?  Let’s look at that.  System Transport is hauling the nation’s Christmas tree this year.  Sargento Cheese has a driver with 4.25 million safe miles.  Impressive.  The Chevy Silverado may get the 2.7 four cylinder engine as standard and drop the 5.3 from the lineup.  Dodge Ram is recalled if you have the Cummins in it.  Also, a reason we are not on Mars involving a $20 bill and a Circle K gas station.
