In a gun-free zone episode I discuss the recent events in Highland Park as more information becomes available.  I even bring actual facts to the table which I know many people do not like. The gun used was already banned under the strict gun control laws there.  Did it help? This Robert Crimo III we know must have had some kind of upbringing.  Look at the “mural” on the house!  Yikes.  How do we stop this?  You may not like the answer.  Safe driving week is next week so get ready for that.  A Tesla crashes into a parked semi at a rest area.  How is that possible?  I will tell you.  A Reason we are not on Mars.

In a journalistic masterpiece I discuss the recent AB5 situation.  The Supreme Court declined to take up AB5 so the 9th Circuit Court ruling stands.  There was a hold on enforcement of California AB5 but that will soon end, possibly as soon as today.  Will trucking be doomed?  Is trucking over?  No.  Just new laws to comply with.  Essentially you are an employee unless you start your own business.  Period.  Some automotive news including yet another Toyota recall and a reason we are not on Mars wraps today up.  Companion video about AB5 on YouTube.

In this Arbor Day masterpiece I examine why some truck drivers do not make much money.  They accept little pay.  I look at a Tic Tok video in which a person bemoans their low pay situation and how they should change that.  A remote controlled semi comes to Tennessee.  Is this a good idea?  Toyota recalls every BZ4X because the wheels might come off.  Nice.  I am sick of people complaining about Vroom.  Don’t ever buy a car online!  It is the second largest purchase most people make and you need to see it in advance of purchase.  A reason we are not on Mars.

In this unabridged spectacular I discuss the Biden fuel tax holiday and what it means for you.  Also, Cosby is sued and she wins from something that she said happened in 1975!  That is not right.  Chicago police won’t chase you now if you commit a crime unless it is really serious.  What?  The average student loan is just over $32000 so why can’t people pay that back?  Central Florida Transport hires a driver advocate.  We used to have these everywhere, they were called the Shop Steward.  The average new car payment is now over $700.  Whew.  A Reason we are not on Mars.

In a spine-chilling episode I discuss the recent spate of buyouts in the trucking industry.  One big buys a little and so on.  Heartland bought Millis and then Smith Transport.  Now PAM is buying Metropolitan and possibly changing the name to Met Express.  What?  Also, Samsara is in the news with a new and exciting product that is sure to make truck driving even worse than it is already.  As if there weren’t enough ways to watch you they have come up with another way that is more terrible than what they already do to us.  Also, a reason we are not on Mars.
