Trucking Lawsuits | Tesla Semi by the numbers | Weird State Laws | #132

In a state of confusion episode I discuss the new Tesla semi and how much energy it needs to use.  Also, how much that costs.  Trucking lawsuit settlements are in the news.  If a company wants to have a 24/7 camera in the truck and totally micromanage us then yes, they should be 100% responsible for what happens on the road and pay through the nose for it.  I have a solution to the truck parking problem.  Some weird state laws are up today sent in by an astute listener.

Trucking Answers | Unabridged | Werner buys Baylor | A Reason we are not on Mars | #123

In this hair-raising episode I discuss Werner Enterprises buying Baylor Trucking.  Werner says nothing will change at Baylor.  We will see.  Is using hair for drug testing discrimination?  Should it be done?  A Reason we are not on Mars.

In this pumpkin spice flavored episode I discuss Werner and Kodiak and the pact they have to move freight without drivers.  They start their first lane soon and it will be working the exact way I said so I believe that they listen to the podcast.  I-80 in Illinois will be under construction near Minooka until 2027.  Are you ready for that?  The Natural Propane Gas Association wants to be able to work the drivers 17 hours a day and drive for 14 of those hours.  Who wants to work for 17 hours a day?  Tesla has a robot named Optimus that is going to probably take over the world as soon as it can.  Topeka, Kansas shows us why we don’t live on Mars and may never.  Also, a new driver facing cam gives gold stars for good driving.

In this likely Grammy nominated episode I discuss the Constitution.  Also, CR England may be involved in a Class Action.  Speaking of Class Action, Werner is also on the list.  Same companies all the time.  Weird.  Electric cars are now racist.  A reason we are not on Mars.

Trucking Answers | Top 100 For-Hire Carrier Discussion | #89

In a belted out episode I discuss the top 100 for-hire carriers in the United States.  I go over the top 10 and then selected ones from the rest of the list.  Is your carrier a top-100 carrier?  There are good and bad in the list so just because you are at a big place doesn’t mean it is bad or good.  Let’s take a look at the list.

Trucking Answers | Pay raises | Driver Churn | Automotive News | A Reason we are not on Mars | #79

In an episode that will likely go to the Petersen Museum I discuss driver churn in the trucking industry and what the ATA has to say about it.  They love it!  Is it good for you?  Walmart raises their pay and will now take students.  Nice.  Tesla semi may be out next year, maybe not.  Someone bought a Dodge Dart this year.  The problem is they stopped making them in 2016!  A Reason we are not on Mars.

In a world beating episode I discuss the lighting issues of trucking and why you can’t run blue lights.  Joe Biden announced a release of oil from the strategic reserve.  Werner Enterprises gets an exemption.  The best 3 year old cars to buy.  A Reason we are not on Mars.

In this dazzling episode full of sparkle I discuss the correlation between pay and hiring.  Also, Marten suffers a cyber attack.  Werner Enterprises reports record 3Q numbers, remember this at raise time. Sen Blackburn to exempt heroes.  The Electric Cannonball gets a new record from a Tesla Model S.  Still can’t beat an engine.  GM will install 40000 level 2 chargers near its dealerships.  This is not near enough because that means 35 miles an hour of charging.  Hertz will rent you a Tesla and Uber will let you rent a Hertz Tesla for not bad money.  Also, we end up with yet another reason we are not on Mars.

In another amazing episode worth of award, I talk about the Del Rio bridge problem and also at the same time solve the illegal alien crisis in the United States!  Then, we go into why New York really wants to get an exemption to the CDL test for school bus drivers.  Oregon is increasing the chain law fine to $900!  Get those chains ready.  Werner wants an exemption and surprisingly I am ok with it.  There is yet another slow roll planed everywhere and I assume as many as 7 drivers will participate. There is no reason to slow roll yet as we don’t know what is happening with the mandate and who will be affected by it.  The ATA is opposed and they have power in Congress.  The Ford Expedition is getting a gigantic center screen right out of a Mustang Mach-E.  Wow.  Plus, 440hp.  The Genesis GV60 will have facial recognition and you won’t need a key as long as you have your face with you.  Finally, a truck driver shows us why we aren’t on Mars yet.

In a new fun-filled romp on the Trucking Answers podcast we discuss brake safety week and all of the hoses that get chafed. The Nebraska Trucking Association goes to the middle school to find drivers.  ShipEx will wrap your truck in a custom wrap.  I think that is interesting.  There is a Jeep for over $100000.  Wow.  The average new car price exceeds $41000.  A dumb criminal in Georgia goes to retrieve a lottery ticket at the police station and will not be going to Mars.
