In this Grammy Nominated episode I discuss the advanced tech in trucks and why it is terrible still.  The ATRI wants us to use it and I want it to work.  I talk about a Texas teen who jumped off a truck he was hitching a ride on.  Yes, that happened.  The LA ports are 24/7 now and Papa Joe says you need to step it up!  The fastest police car currently for sale is the Ford Explorer.  Really.  Vietnam is going to start selling cars here.  Also, a reason we are not on Mars.

In a 3 point masterpiece I talk about the driver shortage that does not exist.  I examine a claim from CFI gets their first 5 million mile driver.  Is this possible in 37 years?  Maybe.  The Nevada Trucking Association is doing all it can legally to make sure drivers are paid as little as possible.  They are willing to pay lawyers but not drivers.  I love it.  Does salary pay or hourly pay disincentive drivers from working harder?  I am unsure of that and I look at a company paying a salary based system.  The Tesla semi is delayed yet again, this time until 2023.  An armored Rolls Royce Cullinan may be in your future for a mere $962000.  Toyota outsold GM yet again in the United State and may become the best selling brand at the end of the year.  We will see.  I talk about my trip to GP Transco and an invention that we don’t really need, do we?  I mean, really?  That another reason we are no on Mars.

In a literary masterpiece I expound on the fact that people are quick to complain but slow to act as I give 2 examples of drivers who will complain but not do anything.  You get what you tolerate, remember that.  I will be at DOT Transportation Oct 4 for a live show on YouTube at 6pm Central time.  A truck full of starch turns into a fireball as it is hit by a train in Indianapolis. Very dramatic.  They said it had stalled when in fact the trailer legs were stuck at a hump crossing.  Driver fired, I assume.  The Lucid Air hits the roads with a 520 mile range, the longest I have seen for an electric car.  Range isn’t really the issue, charging time is what needs to improve.  Jaguar brings out the new XF and I am disappointed that it is missing what made it unique.  It is just a cookie cutter car now.  We go to Phoenix for a reason we are not on Mars.

In this literary masterpiece I discuss the Ohio slow roll and what could happen.  Also, we talk about the influx of visas to the United States.  It could be how your job gets eliminated.  Who should pay for truck parking, your company or the  government?  Pilot is selling 40 locations to Casey’s General Store.  The Ford Mustang Mach-E is being recalled.  Who knew that was coming?  It is made in Mexico, by the way.  When people use full self driving mode on a Tesla they pay less attention to the road a new study says.  I say DUH.  In a reason we are not on Mars I discuss a dinosaur and a park in Phoenix.

In a Nobel Prize level episode I describe why people should not look to the government to solve their pay problem.  Joshi is being grilled on it as she gets the nod to become the new administrator of the FMCSA and she shouldn’t.  The electric energy council thinks most trucks could be electric with no problem.  Apparently 75% of freight movements are under 250 miles.  Could that be right?  In the future if you fail a drug test you could have you license downgraded to a car license if the government has its way.  What do you think?  Fed Ex is now running an autonomous truck from Dallas to Houston daily.  In 2023 they want there to be no safety driver in the truck at all.  The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is coming and I think it doesn’t have enough room.  VW may bring back the International Scout as an electric SUV to compete with Bronco.  Bronco may get  a Raptor version.  I hope it has a stick but it won’t.  BMW says 373 miles is all the range you need in an electric car and won’t go one mile more.  Also, we hear about a teen in Great Britain who need to measure something but only has a USB cord nearby.  He is why we aren’t going to Mars.

In an episode worthy of inclusion to the Smithsonian I discuss the recent announcement from Truck Driver and President Joe Biden that employers over 100 will require the vax or weekly testing.  I outline how this can help those that have gotten it.  It could raise rates and pay, maybe.  There will be court challenges so we will see.  I go into Koch and Sons and what happened with the strength testing lawsuit that came up.  There is a decision.  Also, how much do you get for a holiday.  I heard some people were happy with $100.  That is terrible.  You get locked in a room starved nearly to death and then you are happy when you get a crumb.  Think people!  The VW ID4 is charge tested and I am not impressed.  Also, gap insurance.  Should you get it?  To wrap it up I talk about a couple of criminals in Chicago and how a good robbery can go bad.

In a new fun-filled romp on the Trucking Answers podcast we discuss brake safety week and all of the hoses that get chafed. The Nebraska Trucking Association goes to the middle school to find drivers.  ShipEx will wrap your truck in a custom wrap.  I think that is interesting.  There is a Jeep for over $100000.  Wow.  The average new car price exceeds $41000.  A dumb criminal in Georgia goes to retrieve a lottery ticket at the police station and will not be going to Mars.
