In a literary masterpiece I expound on the fact that people are quick to complain but slow to act as I give 2 examples of drivers who will complain but not do anything.  You get what you tolerate, remember that.  I will be at DOT Transportation Oct 4 for a live show on YouTube at 6pm Central time.  A truck full of starch turns into a fireball as it is hit by a train in Indianapolis. Very dramatic.  They said it had stalled when in fact the trailer legs were stuck at a hump crossing.  Driver fired, I assume.  The Lucid Air hits the roads with a 520 mile range, the longest I have seen for an electric car.  Range isn’t really the issue, charging time is what needs to improve.  Jaguar brings out the new XF and I am disappointed that it is missing what made it unique.  It is just a cookie cutter car now.  We go to Phoenix for a reason we are not on Mars.

In this literary masterpiece I discuss the Ohio slow roll and what could happen.  Also, we talk about the influx of visas to the United States.  It could be how your job gets eliminated.  Who should pay for truck parking, your company or the  government?  Pilot is selling 40 locations to Casey’s General Store.  The Ford Mustang Mach-E is being recalled.  Who knew that was coming?  It is made in Mexico, by the way.  When people use full self driving mode on a Tesla they pay less attention to the road a new study says.  I say DUH.  In a reason we are not on Mars I discuss a dinosaur and a park in Phoenix.

In a Nobel Prize level episode I describe why people should not look to the government to solve their pay problem.  Joshi is being grilled on it as she gets the nod to become the new administrator of the FMCSA and she shouldn’t.  The electric energy council thinks most trucks could be electric with no problem.  Apparently 75% of freight movements are under 250 miles.  Could that be right?  In the future if you fail a drug test you could have you license downgraded to a car license if the government has its way.  What do you think?  Fed Ex is now running an autonomous truck from Dallas to Houston daily.  In 2023 they want there to be no safety driver in the truck at all.  The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is coming and I think it doesn’t have enough room.  VW may bring back the International Scout as an electric SUV to compete with Bronco.  Bronco may get  a Raptor version.  I hope it has a stick but it won’t.  BMW says 373 miles is all the range you need in an electric car and won’t go one mile more.  Also, we hear about a teen in Great Britain who need to measure something but only has a USB cord nearby.  He is why we aren’t going to Mars.

In another amazing episode worth of award, I talk about the Del Rio bridge problem and also at the same time solve the illegal alien crisis in the United States!  Then, we go into why New York really wants to get an exemption to the CDL test for school bus drivers.  Oregon is increasing the chain law fine to $900!  Get those chains ready.  Werner wants an exemption and surprisingly I am ok with it.  There is yet another slow roll planed everywhere and I assume as many as 7 drivers will participate. There is no reason to slow roll yet as we don’t know what is happening with the mandate and who will be affected by it.  The ATA is opposed and they have power in Congress.  The Ford Expedition is getting a gigantic center screen right out of a Mustang Mach-E.  Wow.  Plus, 440hp.  The Genesis GV60 will have facial recognition and you won’t need a key as long as you have your face with you.  Finally, a truck driver shows us why we aren’t on Mars yet.

In a Tony Award worthy episode I discuss why Gracie is not on the show.  I also go over your right to travel, it is not a privilege. The government doesn’t grant you rights, you already have them.  There was another trucking survey and I talk about some of the results.  The Trucking Answers Mark of Excellence is brought up as a way to distinguish the best trucking companies from the rest.  Would you go in a scale and ask them to inspect you so you could get an inspection bonus?  I think that is a silly idea.  Arkansas will begin using the Chevy Tahoe to catch left lane violators.  Ford pulls out of India which isn’t a bad thing, especially for India.  This means no more EcoSport in the US.  Good.  We finally travel to Houston to find out about a couple of gentlemen who just needed to take a selfie and ended up not going to Mars.

In another award-winning episode I talk about a tweet I read and what a driver had to say.  Don’t blame others for your choices.  You are where you are because of the choices you made up to this point.  Slovakia is our country of the week!  This is truck driver appreciation week but you would never know it at my place. No difference.  The American Trucking Association agrees with me that there should be no government mandate for truck drivers.  Finally something we can hold hands on.  Are truck stops jamming cell phone signals?  I don’t think so, what do you think?  An electric truck sets a record but does it really?  The best car to commute in is on the show as well.  Finally, Cleveland brings us the reason we are not on Mars.

In an episode worthy of inclusion to the Smithsonian I discuss the recent announcement from Truck Driver and President Joe Biden that employers over 100 will require the vax or weekly testing.  I outline how this can help those that have gotten it.  It could raise rates and pay, maybe.  There will be court challenges so we will see.  I go into Koch and Sons and what happened with the strength testing lawsuit that came up.  There is a decision.  Also, how much do you get for a holiday.  I heard some people were happy with $100.  That is terrible.  You get locked in a room starved nearly to death and then you are happy when you get a crumb.  Think people!  The VW ID4 is charge tested and I am not impressed.  Also, gap insurance.  Should you get it?  To wrap it up I talk about a couple of criminals in Chicago and how a good robbery can go bad.

In this possible Grammy-nominated episode I talk about why you should quit your company immediately and stop blaming others if you feel you aren’t paid correctly.  I also talk about the 90 year old driver that retired.  Nice.  The trucking shutdown that never happened in the United States is also up.  Are there really places that cost $25 a night to park?  Tell me.  Canada is going to require cars to have auto on headlights and I don’t like it because the dash lights will only come on with the headlights, not like now where they are on all the time and I can see them.  I go into a reason we are not on Mars with a heartwarming tale of two brothers and a butt full of powder.

In another Mars filled thriller, I talk about Dillon Transport and the closing.  Turns out Dillon was bought in 2017 by a Private Equity firm.  That is never good and you should look for other employment if that ever happens.  I discuss flood insurance and what should happen if you don’t have it in the wake of Hurricane Ida.  Kenworth is having layoffs due to the computer chip shortage.  Nice.  Are you waiting for a new Kenworth?  General Motors is also closing their plants, some for up to 2 weeks, because of the computer chip shortage.  The Maserati Grecale is up as well.  We end up with another reason we are not on Mars.  Check out the live show on YouTube Mondays 1230pm eastern.

In another amazing episode of Trucking Answers we talk about the latest drone strike.  Also, an update on Mask Man that I saw last week.  I go into the trucker strike that is supposed to happen today but will fizzle out like they all do.  The Colorado chain law goes into effect tomorrow, are you ready?  The Smith System of safe driving is up as well because someone asked about it on the recent YouTube live show.  The Chevy Bolt recall gets expanded and Dodge halts production of the Ram because they can’t get any computer chips for it.  Also, Ford stops taking orders for the new Bronco full size.  Another reason we are not yet living on Mars wraps up the show for the day and the month.
